What do you need to do?
Four tasks account for most visits to a village website. Each one is one tap from here.
- Pay a utility bill Water, sewer and garbage billing — how to pay and who to ask.
- Pay property taxes Annual property taxation, the home owner grant and the due date.
- Check current notices Water advisories, closures, collection changes and public notices.
- Read council agendas and minutes What council decided, and what is coming up at the next meeting.
Council
The meeting record, in date order, on one page
Publishing agendas before a meeting and minutes after it is the most visible thing a council website does. It works best when the newest item is at the top, plainly dated, and readable in the browser rather than only as a download.

Council meeting — minutes
The most recent set of minutes the Village has published.

Newer meeting records. Anything published after this date appears above it, newest first, as soon as the office adds it.

Office hours. A resident needs these before they drive over, so they belong here — but this concept will not guess at them.
What this concept does not include
This is a demonstration of four resident journeys, not a replacement for the whole site. The sections below exist on the Village's current website and are listed here as plain text rather than links — a concept should not hand you a link that goes nowhere.
- Bylaws
- Building and development permits
- Business licences
- Business directory
- Parks and facilities
- Emergency preparedness
- Employment
- Airport and transportation
- Grants and community funding
For any of these, see or call the Village Office on 250-626-3995.
